Jesus, I know You want us to have a childlike faith—a guileless kind of trust. But I have lived a whole lot, and I know too much. I have become tainted by thousands of troublesome and even brutal moments. How can I unsee all the sin—even my own? Regain my stolen innocence? Silence the cynical noise of this fallen life to receive Your Kingdom in such a simple way?
But I know all things are possible for You. So, with Your power, change me, Lord. Make me brimming over with the guileless faith and tender love of a child.
